Chicken Biryani

Chicken Biryani is originally a South Asian mixed rice dish. Biryani can be made by different meats (chicken, beef, prawns, mutton, fish) but in this post i'll teach you simple indian chicken biryani recipe.
So lets start.

Ingredients for Biryani:



  • 1/2 c cooking oil.
  • 1 ts crushed red chilies.
  • 1 medium onion.
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 ts black pepper.
  • 2 cinnamon sticks.
  • 2 tb garam masala.
  • 1 tb ginger minced.
  • 1 tb garlic minced.
  • 1 tb salt.
  • 1.5 kg chicken.
  • 1 ts cumin.
  • 2 c rice.
  • 1 ts coriander seeds.
  • 2 c water.
  • 2 tomato.

Method:


Take a big pan and first pour oil in it. Now put onion and tomato in it and let onion become brown after that place chicken in it and cook it for sometime like 2-3 mins then add all the spices (bay leaf, garam masala, red chili, salt, coriander, black pepper) along with garlic and ginger. After sometime add water and rice in it. Reduce the heat and let it cook for 15-17 minutes. Turn off the stove and right after 5-7 mins open the pan and serve chicken biryani with some fresh coriander.
You can also use yellow food color while cooking for garnishing.
